Porsche 911 Bike Rack – The SeaSucker Talon & Flight Deck
Malcolm’s Porsche 911
Malcolm is a keen cycling enthusiast who also races competitively and wanted to transport his bike using his Porsche 911. Unfortunately, there are very few bike rack options for most European sports cars. Furthermore Malcolm did not want a permanent bolt-on solution. His Porsche 911 also has a metal sunroof. After doing his research he contacted the team at SeaSucker Down Under.
Porsche 911 Bike Rack – The SeaSucker Solution
Working with Malcolm we re-configured his Talon bike rack with black vacuum mounts and suggested the SeaSucker Flight Deck. This enables Malcolm to carry his front wheel next to the bike’s rear wheel. The alternative would be to store the front wheel in the trunk or cabin area of his Porsche 911. Having tested the SeaSucker bike racks on both glass and metal sunroofs we assured Malcolm he could use his sunroof as a mounting point. Malcolm proceeded to try various positions on his roof before settling on the position as per the photos. Malcolm opted to install the bike rack entirely on the roof. With the flight deck, Malcolm can carry the front wheel without getting his interior dirty. Upon arriving at his destination Malcolm stores the Porsche 911 bike rack inside his car.

Malcolm now has a bike rack solution that goes and comes off with his bike. Mounting his bike takes only a few minutes. and when he is finished riding he packs the SeaSucker Bike Rack away with his bike. Best of all the low profile design does not look out of place. The low profile design also minimises any wind noise and has minimal impact on fuel consumption.
